Sunday’s NASCAR Cup race at Pocono Raceway was a tough day for 23XI Racing, as they battled brake issues resulting in two destroyed race cars. Riley Herbst caused the first caution on Lap 41 with a brake failure on his No. 35 Toyota, followed by teammate Bubba Wallace’s even harder crash due to a brake rotor explosion on his No. 23 Toyota. Both drivers were uninjured but unable to continue, finishing 36th and 37th respectively. Wallace, now closer to the cut line, expressed frustration: “I was ready to touch the pedal, it just went to the floor and the brakes exploded.” Meanwhile, Reddick, the team’s remaining driver, faced similar concerns and finished in 32nd after addressing his brakes mid-race.
